Our Mission
When considering the problem of unequal distribution of resources, cities and communities in America often are left with the reality that students that come from affluent families can afford quality education while less affluent yet equally capable students have access to significantly less resources to contribute to the trajectory of their lives.
This imbalance becomes a domino affect over time where with every year, the competency and achievement gap between well resourced schools and under resourced schools widens to unsustainable levels. As a result, students with access to less educational resources fare dramatically worse for the rest of their lives.
Faced with this reality, I saw this injustice as a problem that needed to be solved and solved quickly. In the public square, when policies and politics fail to meet a problem, the people from that city rise with courage and intelligence to solve these problems.
We at Axia Project do not assume that we are the answers for every school. This is why our core philosophy is connection and empowerment–a guiding principle that seeks to bring the best from our local neighbors to meaningful opportunities we’ve created to serve their schools in a way that leaves significant change.
Come leave a lasting legacy with us.
